Salad, what do you put in yours?

I've been eating salad every day. I've been putting the following in mine:



dark green mixture of lettuces
apple
tomato
celery
cucumber
green olive
red bell pepper
Parmigiano Reggiano (lots of this)

Sometimes I'll add grilled chicken, boiled egg, or bacon.

I've been making my own dressing with vinegar, olive oil, fresh herbs and lemon juice. I also add salt and pepper to the dressing.

I LOVE sliced avocados in my salad. YUMMY!!

I usually put
cucumber
tomato
lettuce mix
croutons
lots of fresh ground pepper
sometimes radishes

sometimes feta and olives

and of course dressing!

I like my salad in so many different ways that it would take you all day to read it. Have you ever tried dark green leaves with fresh pears and peacans? Yum! You wouldn't think pears belong on a salad but they are very good.

BUT lately I love craisins, apple slices, and Ken's light raspberry pecan vinegrette too....with turkey. Like Thanksgiving in a salad!

We have a salad almost everyday with lots of stuff from the Fmr's Mkt. The tomatos have been to die for...so tasty and meaty!

I've never had a fresh pear. I bought 2 from the store. Thanks for the suggestion!

I bought Newman's light raspberry walnut dressing, and it is so good! The store I was at did not have Ken's. I also bought rasins & craisins.

dried cherries and nuts here. We have a large salad every night. a different kind every night. cobb. ceasear. taco, spinach, parisan. I love the salad bar at rice on holcomb not far from the hospital. they have chunks of honey baked ham and chicken fajita
on the salad bar.

I use blue cheese crumbles and Honey roasted almonds. And I usually make my own dressing with balsamic vinegar, rice vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.

I pratically lick the bowl when I down and I do drink the leftover dressing.
