My kids love these things. I think this will be easy to make and freeze when school starts again.
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoons pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
10 slices Texas Toast -- (very thick bread) ( one loaf )
Recipe
Combine first 6 ingredients. Blend well with fork. Cut bread slices into 4 strips. Dip strips into mixture coating thoroughly then put o na cookie sheet that has been heavily sprayed with vegetable oil cooking spray.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake bread 5 minutes. Turn bread over and continue baking until just golden, about 3-5 minutes longer. Transfer cooked toast to plates.
Flash freeze and store in a Ziploc bag and reheat as needed for a quick breakfast
