Ingredients
1 lb box penne pasta
1 green bell pepper
1 red or yellow bell pepper
6 roma tomatoes
2 large cucumbers
1 bunch green onions
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup vinegar
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp Accent MSG seasoning (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tbsp chopped basil
Method
Cook pasta, rinse with cold water and set aside in a large bowl. Chop peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers into bite-size pieces. Chop green onions fine, include some of the green tops. Add all vegetables to pasta and toss until well combined. In separate bowl, combine oil, vinegar, sugar, Accent, salt, pepper, garlic and basil. Pour over pasta; toss gently and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Keep chilled while taking to picnic site.
Notes: This recipe is a great, refreshing summer recipe for a picnic. It makes plenty for everyone.
