Can butter be frozen? I just bought some unsalted Land O' Lakes with intentions to make cinnamon rolls but have changed my mind.

Be sure to wrap it tightly so it doesn't pick up any other odors in the freezer.

It'll last up to a year so I need to stock up too. Thre's a brand that Kroger has been putting on sale regularly for $1.99, which is darn good for butter.
In culinary school, we would get butter out, and it would be practically liquid from staying out in a hot kitchen for 5 hours, but then we wrapped it back up and put it back in the walk-in. Before that, I wouldn't have dreamed of doing it at home but none of us died from it and the butter solidified again. Now I get it out and leave it out, use what I want, and put the rest back in the fridge.

I have 5 pounds of Irish butter in the fridge. I'll have to get some more and put it in the freezer.
