We just finished dinner. Alicia and I had a fish fry. I coated the flounder with some Zatarans seasoning. At the commissary today they had a shipment of oysters come in, so of course I breaded those and popped them into the frying pan. Along with oven baked fries we had a feast.

In a bit I plan on making the coconut macaroons and the peppermint bark. If not tonight, I will tomorrow.

I made baked tilapia, steamed broccoli, scalloped potatoes and french bread. We still have peach cobbler left from last night, so that rounded out the meal.

Zippi, eating at your house is like eating at a 4 star restaurant. I love it.

Katpo, do you make your own scalloped potatoes or use the ones from a box?

Yes. :yep: When I feel like living in the fast lane, I'll drag out the mandoline and risk a trip to the emergency room. When I'm feeling SOMEWHAT daring, I'll slice them very thinly with a knife. When I'm feeling lazy, I do the box. Last night was the lazy night since we didn't get home until 7. We went to the hospital to see a new baby! Two of our friends from work (Judd's best friend married our secretary) had a baby Sunday. She is the sweetest little baby girl!

Michelle, I've been going every month to dream dinners http://www.dreamdinners.com/main.php?static=index since Dana told me about it nov. 07. We just love the food. You should give it a try. There are some near you. They have nights where you and your daughter can go together and make your meals for the month.

Well, I might have to take on another job Zippi! LOL I laughed out loud when I read Alicia and I can go together to make the meals. Getting Alicia to stir something in a bowl is a task! LOL LOL

Thanks for the info. Maybe I can create some meals for when Marq arrives in March. That is a plan. I'd probably go to the one in Annapolis. I love Annapolis, it is so pretty.

Katpo, homemade scalloped potatoes sounds like a plan. The only thing is that I think my Mandolin is packed away somewhere. We still have about 100 unpacked boxes from our last move. Before we move again I need to go through them and begin to get rid of things.
