Greek yogurt

Have you ever had it? It's delicious!! I was never a huge yogurt fan, but I LOVE greek yogurt. It's thicker and creamier than regular yogurt-- not slimy like most other yogurts can be. The brand my stores sell (whole foods, meijer) is Fage: http://fageusa.com/products.html
The whole version has a lot of fat, but I usually buy the 2%. Dh likes it with a little honey drizzled in it, and I eat it with ground flax seed or a handful of berries.

It is pretty easy to make. Put a coffee filter in a large strainer, dump in yoghurt, place over a bowl and let drain in the fridge overnight. Voila!

It really is a totally different yoghurt experience!

I bought one of the Donvier yogurt cheese makers and put plain FF yogurt in it, wait a day or two, then scoop out what's left. Then I either add roasted garlic or strawberries, depending on my mood. It makes such a good spread, sorta like cream cheese but a little tangier and better than FF cream cheese.

I love Fage yogurt! At my house I use it in place of sour cream, and nobody knows the difference.
