July 4th eats

Well, let's see ...

We had no breakfast because I stayed upstairs in my little cave until around 11:00 a.m. Playing in the arcade, no less (was there any question about that?)

I came downstairs and started cooking onions. Now cooking onions always reminds me of Holly and Modemouth for some reasons ...

I made some white bread dough and it's rising now. I'm going to make jalapeno cheese rolls but THIS time, I'm going dust the peppers and cheese in flour before adding to the dough. I think it'll be better like that.

So for lunch, I have no idea.

Unless DH tries to make us go out, dinner will be:
French onion soup (the carmelized onions and vegetable broth) with garlic toast in the bowl, and swiss cheese melted on top
Salad
Jalapeno cheese rolls
Iced tea

It's going to pour rain all day and the patio is partly under water so grilling might be impossible. At least it isn't up in the house.

Now if he wants something else to eat, I'll make some whole wheat macaroni and cheese with broccoli.

For breakfast I had two pieces of cheddar cheese and coffee
For lunch I had green apple slices dipped in peanut butter
and for dinner dh is grilling pork for him, MIL and SIL and he's grilling me a turkey burger with cheese and an avocado slice, and we'll have salad (and they'll have potatoes)

yep, I'm eating poultry right now... I don't feel great about it, but there ya go. As soon as I have a baby, I'm back to veggie.

No biggie here, just me and DH. I made pork sirloin, with mushrooms and gravy over egg noodles, peas for the veggie.
We're actually having our cookout tomorrow, because most of the kids and grandkids will be here.

We did end up going out with MIL/FIL to Macaroni Grill, so I had seafood linguini. It was pretty good but chock full of clam shells which I could have done without. Still though, I couldn't complain. They paid.
