My Mama's French Dressing
When I was a kid I loved to sit on the front porch with my mom and eat this over fresh garden cukes, tomatoes, leaf lettuce, etc. etc. I have been going through some of her handwritten recipe cards with notes on them. She got this recipe from one of her best girlfriends in 1951.
French Dressing
1 tsp salt
1/2 c sugar or Equal to taste
1 c salad oil
1/3 c vinegar
1/2 c catsup
1 tsp Worchestersire Sauce
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp onon salt
Mix all the ingredients together in a jar and refrigerate for three days . Shake it up during the three days and also before serving.
I made this with Equal instead of sugar and it was really just as yummy.
