Our county christmas walk is this Friday! My oldest is going to be singing at the lighting of the tree in town. They have a small parade and have the streets closed to walk with live windows to look at.
and wagon rides and hot cocoa.
I really don't like my home town but i like going and watching my oldest sing so we take the youngest and go to hear sissy sing and see santa. yep at 12 she still likes to see santa:wub: I hate to see my DD's grow up! But there growing up fast.
I'll try to take photos with all the busy stuff going on!
Are small town has there christmas thing going on i think next week sometime she has to go sing at that to and some dinner!

Have fun!

I just got my hometown newspaper in the mail yesterday and I see their walk is tonight. I kind of wish I could attend because I miss some of those people and those walks always put me in a Christmas mood. The town we live in now doesn't do a walk. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next newspaper to come out to see what I missed.

It would be funner if some of the mean spirt people would stay home so u could have fun with not running into them.
I say a hurmet most of the time and don't go out much unless its out of town!
There are just very mean people in are small town and i do not like to run into them! Give them less to talk about. Even if there lifes are boring and they have nothing better to do but talk about other people *LOL*

I've never heard of a Christmas walk. We have our parade coming up Saturday and then that's about it.. lol :) Guess we'll go this year, but it's supposed to be cold. Can you believe that? A cold day in December...what's up with that? :)

Sigh....
I wish I lived in a small town. I couldn't move DH, no matter how hard I tried!
It would get some getting used to, not having everything open 24/7. But, I think I'd be happier in a small town with peace and quiet and walks, etc.

LOL our small town doesn't even do nything like that.. I am thinking about taking D.J. to this one house that April and Chris was telling me about so he can see the lights. Kids said the lights were so bright that you didn't need any lights on outside to get in and out of the car or house..

We have lighting contests in our city so there are alot of those. We also have LARGE lighting displays at the parks, completely decorated streets (lights even go across the power lines. LOL!), and all of the 'main' streets have decorations on the utility polls. ~ It is SO funny to go out when it's 80 degrees outside and you see large snowflakes hanging on poles and 20 foot tall snowmen. :laugh1:

Now, excuse me. I'm going to visit Trace.:walks:

Oh, wait. Isn't it cold where you are , Trace?????:donno:
Never mind. I'm staying home where it's warm!:ohno:

Thru the wind, leaves, dirt and frezing rain we went out to the christmas walk! We got hot cocao and roasted chessnuts. mmmmmmm!
And watched santa come on his wagon pulled by to raindeer. and light the large tree and the kids sang in the wind. Brrrrr was it cold i think my cheeks are wind burned.
Then we went to a bar and i had whats called a ski lift mmmm hot cocoa with butter rum in it ohhh so good warmed me right up.
Then we went home its way to nasty out there to be walking around!
