Yesterday I and my DD's went out looking for christmas trees.
We went to a place we use to go up to and look over the town at night (great view)
they have a tree farm. we looked at trees already cut then we went and went on a wagon ride down in the woods to the trees. We walked around and looked at the price tags and found a tree that we liked. it is 7 1/2 feet tall and very full all the way down more of a narrow tree. I didn't want a fat tree this year. And this is are first real tree in about 4 years.:ohhh:
Anyway we were cuting it and the trunk split. We got the guy to help us cut the rest of the tree. and we cared it to the wagon and rode back up they wraped it and we got it in are car.
It was priced 15.00 but since the trunk cracked she gave it to use for 10.oo we had hot cocao girls each got a goody bad and 2 free ice skating passes (thats if the pond will freze this year) it didn't last year.
We are going to decarated it tonight:bs:

I thought you had to wait until a two weeks before Christmas for a live tree. It sounds like a nice time though!

All that for $15.00???
I was shocked when I went to Home Depot the other day and saw that they had trees for under $40.00 - and all you get there is a tree!

You got a pretty good deal.

I know! I remember paying over $100.00 for a tree! That's why I was shocked to see them for under $40.00!

For $15.00, I'd have a few of them. LOL!

I've never had an artificial one. (I LOVE the smell of a real tree.) Never even thought about getting one ~ until they came out with the pre-lit ones. :yep: I WANT a pre-lit tree. :yep: But, I have no place to store it. Looks like I have to build me a garage!
