Both DD's (17 & 19) want cash this year because they will be spending Christmas in Florida with thier father, step mother, aunt and cousins. Thier father will pay for almost everything but they will need to bring thier own spending money.

So they will be getting cash and a few small gifts ~ probably clothes for the trip.

I don't have a list from my son or his wife yet but they have hinted that they'd lik a GPS for their vehicle. I haven't decided if they're going to get that or coal this year.

DD#1 (14yr) wants a gizmo that you can attatch to your computer and be able to draw on it and have the drawings go directly onto your computer rather than on paper. She still hasn't given me the name of that gizmo but that's what she wants. She also wants a DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for the playstation.

DD#2 (12 yr) isn't cheap! She wants a razor phone, a DDR, and a whole bunch of Naruto clothing and gadgets. The amount of Naruto (Japansese animation) stuff she mentioned is going to cost at least $400. I think it's fair to stay she isn't going to get everything she wants. ;)

Jan, the computer plug in is called a Wacom Tablet (although I'm sure there's other versions now). DDR is fantastic!!

I've seen the moon sand people... I want that! It's so neat.

When I ask my boys what they want, they say they don't know. It's SO hard to shop for someone who doesn't even know what he wants himself. :donno:
If anybody has any the same age as mine and has any ideas, PLEASE let me know! I did all my shopping for everyone but my own kids.

My kids never give any good ideas. Although whenever a commercial comes on, DD says, "I want that" about EVERYTHING. They usually get video games and movies. DH wants to get them Laptops and a few small things. That would be a total surprise to them. DD still believes in Santa, so we need to make sure we can get her something that she asks for. I don't think DS believes in Santa, but he has not come out and said that. He hasn't asked Santa for anything though the last couple of years.

I have never heard of moon sand, off to Google it. The DDR sounds interesting. DD would love it, she does not have a PS though, but DS does.

MOONSAND is evil!!!!

ROFL!

We got it for DD for her birthday last year.

You know how packing peanut pieces stick to everything? Well grind them all up into grain size pieces... oh yeah and make them a little more sticky. And you have Moonsand. It looks SOOOO cool on tv. It's evil I tell ya. And the molds are a PITB. lol. The kids do like it though, in a play-doh kind of way ; )

I had a feeling it was evil stuff. ugggg. There is another product called Floam that I've heard awful stuff about. The kids wanted that, too, of course.

My kids are hard to buy for because they can buy pretty much what they want for themselves! That's why I'm getting my DD things she can use when she moves out on her own. I got her a beautiful Russian easter basket cover sent to me from Russia that I hope she will love. My DS is going to start Karate classes, so maybe I'll get him something related to that, he also collects really cool swords {unsharpened}, so we might pick him up a few of those. As for the others...who knows. I feel like painting up a storm and I just got a really cute art book the other day!

I'm thinking about bringing them to Toys 'R Us and letting them register for what they want. That way they can send their printout to Santa. LOL!
Then, all I have to do is decide what to get from the printout and bring it back to get what I want.
