Well that is a load of crap! :foottap:
Sorry. I wish I knew of something. If ... oh wait .. check the freebie threads. There was one for a year free of anti-virus. I will see if I can find and bump up. :)

They start charging on Feb 18th...has anyone found anything to replace AVG so far?

I loaded this yesterday and my puter is not the same...it's slower and my messanger doesn't work correctly anymore. It takes 20 minutes just to get to my desktop screen....any fix for all that? I ended up doing a system restore and uninstalled the AVG 7.1 , now I cannot use my messanger at all, it stops, doesn't respond, and boots me off if I get it to work for even a minute............ it's slow loading still but at least I can get to sites in less than 5 minutes instead of the 10-15 it was taking while the AVG was running.
:cryhard:
I should not have tried it...my puter might be ruined now.
:cryhard:
Let's see...I did a system restore, disc clean-up, check if it needed defragmented, cleaned out temp files, desk top clean up, checked my firewall, checked cookie handling, security settings, etc.
Anyone have any idea how to fix it?
