Well, what did you think? Who's your favorite and who's going home tonight?

Taylor song 1 - Pretty good, I still like him having fun out there.
Taylor song 2 - I disagreed with the judges, I thought this wasn't a very good performance.

Chris song 1 - Pretty good.
Chris song 2 - Just ok, certainly not anything to rave or wet your panties about.

Elliot song 1 - Excellent! Best performance of the night!
Elliot song 2 - Very good but not quite as good as his first song.

Katharine song 1 - Can you say goodbye? Ack! That was horrible!
Katharine song 1 - Once again this song was horrible. She spends WAY too much time seducing the camera and not enough time spent getting to know the song and portraying the feelings that went with the song.

Elliot was by far the best performance of the night and it was really nice to see him feeling the songs. Elliot has a beautiful voice but he doesn't always show feeling or character up on stage. Last night he really let himself go.

I think it's going to be Katharine that goes tonight.

I didn't like Taylor's second song at all. I thought it was the worse! To me Chris is the best.

I was stunned! I never would have guessed that Chris would be gone. I fully expected him to win it this year. :-( I bet with Chris off the show now that the ratings will dip.

Can someone tell me if the votes are posted somewhere? I really want to know exactly how many votes each contestant gets each week.

I have searched for the vote count and have never found it.

I felt so bad for him when he was told it was him going home. He was so surprised! Even Simon looked surprised! I really thought he would win this year.

I am so sad!! I love Chris!! I can't wait to see what his first album songs like.

I think Katharine is still on there because she is getting the younger vote. The young girls like her a lot. She will sell more "pop" albums than any of the others. She's definately more mainstream like Kelly Clarkson (sp?).

Honestly .. I don't know how she can be still getting votes. Her mistakes at this stage of the game is unexcusable. You can't forget lines. That is bad!!


Forgetting the lyrics should have done her in alone.

She can only sell albums and sell concert venues if she remembers the lyrics. She has proven week after week that she can't do that.

DH read on FOXES AI boards that people trying to vote for Chris could not get through the entire 2 hours. People said voting for Katherine was easy, not busy at all.

I do think Chris will do better without AI over his ehad but to be gone before a singer who forgets the lyrics every week; that's just wrong.

Why are AI voters so afraid of a rocker winning?
Not everyone listen to pop.

Kelly Clarkson has a rockier sound now after getting away from AI.
Think maybe, just maybe a rock sound might work for AI. Country might even be more successful. There is a HUGE fan base.

I'm still floored that Chris was booted. I totally expected him to go to the end. Taylor was in his element that's for sure and Elliot did really great...but in Catherine's defense lets not forget that it was Elvis week. If I was a girl competing with 3 guys on Elvis week I'd be freaking out! I think that had a major disadvantage for her and wasn't fair. Maybe next week should be Barbara Streisand week? I wonder how the guys would sound if it was Whitney week? Just a thought...lol. I still think that over all Chris and Catherine have the best tone voice and have to look etc. I don't know how I'd do if I were performing in front of millions of people...oh wait I do know. I'd stand there like a deer in headlights and wet myself...lol. I feel the last 4 kids that were left all deserved to be there and only one can win it. They will all get contracts and go on to do other things. don't forget their album and their tour coming up, so no one really loses in the end.

Here's something to think about... ever wonder if maybe someone paid off American Idol to boot Chris? Like say maybe a record producer who didn't want to wait for the right to sign him? I almost wonder if someone wanted him off so that they could sign him right away.

No matter what I'll buy his record when it comes out because I think he has great potential.

Now that chris is gone I'm not sure who I want to win. It will all depend on how they do next week I guess.


I think that all those kids have really good voices. It is a matter of taste, what you hear and if you can listen to a whole CD of that particular voice. I still like Catherine, she is beautiful and can sing. I do think though that she belongs on Broadway. She would kick ass...if she could remember the words...lol.
