It is peacan season again.
This is a killer recipe. I have eaten thousands of pralines in my lifetime and this is by far the best pralines I have ever had.



3 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 lb. butter
2 TBS. light corn syrup
In a heavy large sauce pan bring to a boil. about20 minutes stirring occasionally with large wooden spoon. Bring to soft boil stage not more than 250 degrees. Take off of the heat place pan in sink of cold water stir mixture for about 5 minutes. Add in 4 cups of pecans. Place a large spoonful on wax paper. . Never wrap in plastic wrap or container.
